Doing shoots, matching dresses (or suits ;-) to our beautiful art flowers, preparing for going live and in between work, just living. Reading, running, hiking, cooking, sleeping, meeting. I hope you are doing fine, spending more time offline than online (come on guys, doom scrolling is sooooo 2024 ;-) and see you soon! X Puck

Hey, long time no see. I was offline. Still am. A Hey, long time no see. I was offline. Still am. A lot. Because... I crave for offline things (art, books, music, conversations, architecture, food, fashion) that feed my soul, instead of the mindless doomscrolling online. However, some words on offline + business:

In my previous company, I was the brand. My face, my voice, my days. Everything revolved around my presence, my philosophy, my energy. It was intense. And exhausting.

Every Instagram post felt like a duty. Every interview a performance. Even my thoughts no longer felt like mine. I was always thinking: "How can this thought be edited and shared in regards to business?"

So with my new venture, I made a promise: never again.

I co-founded it with two men. In the first week, they said: "You should be the face."

I get it. Because yes, people buy from people. Yes, 'personal' sells. Blah blah blah.

But then I thought: maybe there’s another way. There must be another way, because I’m not doing it - again. No selfies, no stories. Not me behind a camera.

We're building a brand about style, about home, about feeling good in your space. With real things. Beautiful things. Things that last. I want to create a vibe. A feeling. A product you hold and think: yes, this feels right.

Yes, they come from my taste. My eye. My inspiration. But that doesn’t mean I need to stand on a stage.

It feels so much richer to work behind the scenes. To keep my hands in the clay. To be the brand without having to perform it.

Not every founder needs to be the face. Sometimes your taste is enough. Your work is enough. You, without constantly having to be present at the forefront.

X Puck

P.S. Some recent visuals that are inspiring me - a lot! Found them all over - from Pinterest to magazines to Substack feed.
